When You Do First Peter Five

Pursuing What Is Excellent -- First Peter Five

God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty
hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
casting the whole of your care upon Him, for
He cares for you.
1 Peter 5: 5b-7

This month Rachael Carman’s devotional writing focus onHumility”.

I had to sit for a few days and wrap my head about such a broad and not so easy to do word.

Then it was brought to my remembrance like BAM!
There was a time many years ago that obedience and submission looked a lot like humility.

In my plans was vengeance. In God’s plan was humility.

At Rooted at the Throne, I share in “I Owe Them Humility” how 1 Peter 5:6-7 and several other verses played a major role in bringing me to a place of submission and humility.

If after you read my devotional you’d like to chat about what may be on your heart, or what you need to do to humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, I’m here for you!
