How do you even begin to cultivate it and let it begin to help you shape your life to look and be more like that word?

First, I hope that you’ve asked the Holy Spirit to show you direction; helping you define it even further.
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, right?! (Matthew 6:33)
Have you started writing out a plans and goals?
It’s good to envision what the end could look like. (Habakkuk 2:2)
Do you need a coach, counselor, or confidant? (Proverbs 15:22)
I’ve had a word for several years and sometimes they’ve overlapped.
I feel now that my word PRAYER for several years now has had a layer added.
I wrote about “APPROVED” being my word in 2017, with 2 Timothy 2:15-16 as the backbone.
I have no doubt that as I walk out being approved, my prayer life with experience significant improvement!
Have you seen your words layer over the years?
Your words being added to instead of shifted out of the way?
As you ponder that line of thought, I want to introduce you to some writing that I’ve already found to be of value in the start of this year:
Kelly Baker writes: “Having a One Word can be intertwined in the stages and seasons in which we walk with God. In this post I’m sharing some practical ways to apply your One Word to your life.” — 7 Actions to Take Now with Your One Word
Encouragement from DaySpring: “Even though we don’t know exactly what is ahead in the coming year, here are some redemptive ways we can move forward and fulfill what God has for us.” – Receiving What God Has For You in the New Year
And a book recommendation! 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit by Nicki Koziarz.
I’m a need-er of tangible ways of getting things done because too often…I am a quitter!
Do you have any other resources that you can share with me and other readers?
