Living a Surrendered Life

PWIE -- Living a Surrendered Life

It’s a wild ride when you seek and ask God about something specific and what He reveals is so much more involved than anything you can imagine!

For me, it turned into a season of asking Him LOTS of questions, doubting myself, battling emotions that I knew didn’t belong, opening my hands in surrender; pouring out what I’d held on so tightly to, and then daring to open my palms heavenward to ask Him for an exchange.

This blog post could easily be titled: Surrender Doesn’t Have to Look Like Giving Up PART 2 .

The beauty in the daring is that it’s His delight!
The faith that it takes to trust Him with every aspect
of our lives is what’s pleasing to Him!

Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6

Surrender these days has looked like moving forward & new opportunities.
I asked a friend if its ever possible for peace in the surrender to be “heavy”.
After answering a few of her necessary probing questions, letting go of wrong thoughts and emotions, and allowing God’s Word to wash over me, I realized that it wasn’t a burdensome kind of heavy, but actually a blanket, or covering of peace; that Philippians 4:7 kind of peace.

Philippians 4 seven

“Living a surrendered life is a giving life.”

That was one of the last quotes in the “surrendered” blog post that I wrote, and it’s still ringing true!
And it’s not necessarily that the giving life is something that I receive, but life that I get to give away; in serving, influence, mentorship, and presence.

This by far isn’t a declaration of arrival!

Its the keen awareness of the continual need of surrender and receiving the exchange. There’s fullness in the emptying of ourselves. And only when we see that in light of the kingdom and eternity can we start to understand.

How may I pray for you in the thing(s) that you need to surrender?

Living to Worship Him,
