Pursuing What Is Excellent -- Hope Holds Fast

I heard a minister say recently, “Have Bible hope!”
It sounds great, but what does that look like?

Hope isn’t a word that I use often.
That will change!

Hope is about so much more that wishing something good will happen!
It is weightier than a wish.
It’s an expectancy just as faith is.

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul,
both sure and steadfast,
and which enters the
Presence behind the veil.
Hebrews 6:19

I learned recently that Katie Orr had written a series of books (Everyday Faith, Everyday Hope, and Everyday Love).
She took a survey to see what people would most like to study first in the series.

Overwhelmingly, it was a vote for HOPE.

This world can be very disparaging at times and hopelessness abounds, but hope in Christ is like
NOTHING this world could ever offer!

I’m starting the Everyday Hope Bible study and wanted to share the opportunity with you.

We’re in community and I’m looking forward to diving deeper into the FOCUS method (#FOCUSed15) that Katie walks us through to thoroughly get the most of out of our time of study.

I purchased the Kindle Version so that I could dive right into the study.
I grabbed a new notebook to start taking notes,
answer questions and write out Scripture.
