Conversations with the Father

Pursuing What Is Excellent -- Conversations with the Father

“Secret place” is often heard when speaking of spending intimate time with God.
A favorite Scripture about being, or dwelling, in the secret place is Psalm 91:1.
We’re there because we trust Him to sustain, protect, fulfill His covenant promises, and to Father (Abba) us.

It’s a time of totally shutting out the world, and the things that grab for our time, attention, and affection.
It’s when we’re most intentionally still and our soul is quieted.

That secret place time could include praying, extended times of fasting, journaling and reading the Bible.
We ask God to reveal things to us, to give us knowledge about what’s going on in our lives.
We ask Him for direction and clarification.
We ask Him to move on behalf of others during a time of intercession.
We give Him our worship, praise and adoration.

These are conversations with the Father.

A life full of conversations - Kris Dillard

Your life should be full of references from
conversations you have had with the Father.
-Kris Dillard

After secret place times like that with the Father, let us soak in what He sings over us!
As we read from the Scripture below, wherever “he” pronouns appear, insert your name. Drink that in as the Father’s love and compassion toward you.

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.

Psalm 91:14-16

How often do you reference conversations that you’ve had with the Father?
Has it been a minute or was it just this morning?
Share with me of a conversation that most sticks out to you.

Living to Worship Him,
