Today’s 5 Minute Free Writing prompt is: BREW
I was excited about that, because I’m pretty sure y’all know my delight in coffee!
For me, it tastes so much better when I’m sipping it right along with reading my Bible and sitting in a quiet place with God.
It also tastes better when I sit across from my beloved and we talk over a cup.
It helps our bond!
Just as the aroma of the coffee grounds brewing are pleasing to the natural senses,
the aroma of God’s word hitting our souls is even more pleasing to our spiritual senses.
As we receive from God and as our cups become full, we then become aromatic.
The aroma of our brew should be love!
“And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”
Ephesians 5:2
Love is the balance, or rod that every other part of our lives hang on.
Without love, the aroma of our lives will cease to give pleasure.
Instead it’ll become bitter and cold.
Brew a fresh pot if you’ve become cold!
Let your love burn hot!
