“Put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”
Ephesians 4:24 (NKJV)
According to Merriam-Webster dictionary,
wardrobe means: a collection of clothes that a person owns or wears.
One of the most beautiful exchanges we can make is trading an old wardrobe for a fresh, new one!
The feel of the clean and finest against the skin is a renewing experience.
The wardrobe exchange that I’m talking about today is the one that God, Himself fashioned.
He took His righteousness and holiness and donned us with it.
As I read Ephesians 4, I’m reminded of the new nature that we’re to make an exchange for.
The contrast and transformation is so noticeable that it’s unmistakable.
- darkness becomes light
- ignorance becomes understanding
- lying becomes truth
- stealing becomes honest work
- corrupt words become edifying words
- bitterness becomes kindness
- wrath becomes tender-heartedness
- anger becomes forgiveness
I envision Cinderella when she received her new ball gown.
As she twirled and twirled and the exchange happened right before her eyes.
When that exchange happened for us, the availability was THAT immediate,
but sometimes it takes us a while to see or notice it.
It’s there! It has to work from the inside out.
Make the exchange for the wardrobe that is inside you. It’s made just for you!!
Living to Worship Him,
