Initially, Romans 12:2
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed my the entire renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
was a constant in my devotional readings, conversations with others
and hearing God’s Word preached.
Recently, Ephesians 4:17-24 became a companion to Romans 12:2 for me.
I finally sat down with my husband and shared
what God was leading me to.
I can’t say that my mind has been warped or reeked of evil thoughts, desires or lust. I guess any subtle, unhealthy thought could qualify
as a mind that hasn’t been renewed, huh?
I take this as God preparing me daily to fight each battle as it comes with His mind. Not to be alienated from the life of God, not to be ignorant of His ways and will, but
to remember what I’ve been taught by Him.
If we are Christ’s then we’ve already received a new nature (2 Corinthians 5:17). We choose to or not to walk in that newness, righteousness and holiness.
I’m choosing to transform and renew my mind with the Word of God DAILY.
That’s what it takes!
I’ll never pretend to know more than I do, but I am striving to know more of my Father. That’s why I’m Pursuing What is Excellent!
Until next time…Be abundantly blessed!
