My Mind Is Stayed

Pursuing What Is Excellent -- My Mind Is Set

I’m writing from the place that I’m hearing from God in my own life.
I am a pretty emotionally stable woman.
It’s a dogged stance that I decided to take years ago;
to be predictable, to not rely on my feelings to tell me the truth,
to deny the enemy access into my thoughts.

Do you know what the common threads of having a stable mind are?
Trusting God, and the peace of God!

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You,
because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever,
for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.
Isaiah 26:3-4

There have certainly been some scripts that I’ve been tempted to play the role in.
Lies from my own self-doubt, my own perception, and from tradition could take me down in an instant,
BUT!! (see how powerful those 3 letters are?!!!) I have the Word of God as my defense!

I have the word of God as my defense
That’s when I say, “Okay Lord. You know what’s going on here, and I REFUSE to dwell on what is wrong!
You are my strength. YOU are now in my thoughts!(Psalm 119:15). I take the negativity, the thing that’s threatening my emotional stability, hostage (2 Cor. 10:5). It can not take root when I put my eyes (spiritual and physical) back on Scripture; THAT Script that is perfectly written to save and secure my life!”

How do you actively have your mind “stayed” on God when wrong/false emotions threaten your stability?
What scripts in your life need to be crossed out; obliterated by the blood of Jesus?

Make the decision today to let the Holy Spirit guide you in re-writing your thought life.
Surround yourself with people that speak life! That has made such a huge difference in my life!
Protect your spirit. Be mindful of who is in your inner-circle. They have more influence than you may think.
It’s a process, and it takes a daily reset (Romans 12:2), but with God, it is possible, my friend!

Living to Worship Him,
