Darkness They Could Feel

Praise God that I’m not in darkness these days.

Besides, with His light, I always have hope of a brighter day.

I was reading in Exodus last night and a couple verses captivated me.

Pharaoh was being rebellious and would not free the Israelites; even after 8 plagues.

21 Then the LORD sasid to Moses, “Stretch out you hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, darkness which may  even be felt.”
22 So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days.
23 They did not see one another; nor did anyone arise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwelling.
Exodus 10:21-23

“Darkness which may even be felt”!

Surely this was both physical and spiritual darkness. All light had been taken from them; not even a glow.

I wonder how close or far away the Israelites were from the Egyptians for the Egyptians to not even get a glimmer of light.

It really doesn’t matter. God blocked the light. He meant business!

I don’t have anything profound to add to this. I just wanted to share God’s Word with you.

Ponder that Scripture. Go back and read about the events leading up to that. It’s a good HiStory lesson.

Watching the Prince of Egypt movie prompted me to go back and read it.
