Calm Yourself, Child

Pursuing What Is Excellent -- Calm Yourself, Child

There are things that I’m learning about God and how He sometimes answers my prayers.

I had a prayer in my heart one day and I decided to journal it; you know, to fully hash it out!

Instead of speaking to me the way He often does and whispers a specific answer or direction, He led me to start reading Ephesians.
I got to Ephesians 1:2, and that was it!
Instead of giving me steps 1, 2, and 3 as an answer for what I was praying for, He calmed my soul!

Ephesians 1-2

That’s all that I need to do in this moment; accept His grace and peace.
”Calm yourself, child”, is what I heard!

What prayer are you begging God to outright answer?
It could be that He wants you to calm yourself. He’s the peace-giver. The One that loves to love us!
So, right now, accept His calm.
Roll your cares over onto Him (1 Peter 5:6-7).
Be anxious for nothing (Philippians 4:6-7).
Let Him give you rest (Matthew 11:28-30).

Be fully aware of Him in the moment; seeking His presence and not an answer.

Living to Worship Him,
Kela
