Caffeinated Randomness: We’re Workin’ on Something

image

This has been both a relaxing and jam-packed week!

The kids are safely at our family’s house. I met my sister-in-law at our half-way point (Atlanta, GA.).

The ride there was great (even driving through the traffic that gets such a bad rap).

The ride home, however, was another story. Imagine an early rush hour, six lanes of traffic, multiple accidents, stop and go traffic AND a storm.

I kept repeating, “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 2:7.

Our oldest daughter has kept me on the road this week with NarroWay Production rehearsals, gathering last minute accessories and the like. I encourage you to click on the link to watch their :49 video.

We’re so excited about the prospect of purchasing land and putting a log cabin on it. It’ll be like mountain get-away living everyday! We’re looking at 6 acres right around the corner from where we live now. We’ll be talking with a log home company  next week to draw up customized plans.

Here’s a little background about the property and relationships: Brian works with one of the biggest Realtor companies here in our town doing their rental property handy-man work. The owner, John, of the company is the father of Brian’s business partner (can’t leave out that word “business” nowadays!). John knows our desire to purchase land.

When John listed this property we were one of the first to know about it (thanks to email notifications). That was a few months ago and he still hasn’t put a For Sale sign up.

Brian asked him about this yesterday and John’s response to him was, “This is your property. Why would I put I sign up? You said you wanted it. It’s yours.”

I’m sayin’ “THANK YA JESUS!” We have a man of God that is believing with us and is so confident that its ours that he hasn’t even put a sign up.

With that, I’ll keep ya updated on our progress. We’re working with God to work this thing out.
